Sending prayers to any of our posters in the Florida Panhandle/Big Bend area.  It's looking like Michael will be a Cat 3 at landfall, and that's nothing to play around with.  Wishing you all a safe passage through this one!

Thank you for this.  I hadn't heard about Michael, but the current projection is that the cone will pass over the Carolinas before heading back out to the Atlantic.  Hopefully, there's not a lot more rain.

Our City has sent a team from the Electric System to Florida in anticipation of downed wires and other issues. We were in FL last year for that hurricane, too. Our first responders from our Fire Stations also are sent for such disasters.

Not expecting the worst in North Georgia so please come see us FL neighbors. We'll make room!

God bless those that are in the path of Michael and those that are on standby to rescue/assist those that need help.  You are God's people.  Heart

The Carolinas will be getting a Tropical Storm as Michael loses steam after hitting FL. God help those people; we are still a mess here w/years of repairs.

BTW, don't know about anyone else around the US but our gas prices here just jumped 20 cents. Not the time to take advantage of evacuees.

You may want to fill up just in case the rigs are down for a time. I'm sure the price increase will spread if the storm is bad enough.
