Is supposed to hit Hawaii. Here in Alaska we are waiting for aftermath, lots of rain and winds. How about Wa. And Ore.?

WA coast expecting light rain today and tomorrow. It feels like wet air right now with poor air quality. Poor Hawaii sure has had it's share of natural disasters.
ETA: No rain here and not in near future afterall. Just some morning wet air from marine layer.

I live on Oahu, HI. Everything is crazy here today. All the water , Bread etc....is gone in the supermarkets. No parking at our local Safeway supermarket. Lines just driving up to our supermarket are very long. Well, lets see what will happen. It never gets boring living in Hawaii . But then again, when I lived in Colorado once for a short time, we always had the Tornados. I guess , were ever we live there is something.
Aloha from Hawaii.

Be safe everyone. I saw the report with empty shelves in grocery stores. Hopefully everyone was able to get something.

@SurferWife Are you OK?

@Drythe...thanks for asking! So far all is calm on O’ahu. We won’t start to get impacted until tomorrow night. We are prepared, though and are leaving everything up to the grace of God. I’ll keep y’all posted. If you don’t hear from me it’s probably because we lost electricity.i. I need to wash my hair tomorrow morning so it will be clean for Lane! HA!

Thanks for responding, I would have been so worried. I know you will make sure Mr Toby is all clean for your visitor too!
Being in,move, or, tie down anything that can be blown around in your yard, fill your bathtub with water, get out the flashlights and batteries, battery radio, charge cells, get your meds, DH’s & Toby’s packed, have a good photo of Toby, pack passports, licenses, insurance info, titles, etc, pack blankets and pillows in case you have to evacuate.
***. I know you know this, just a habit from living in the middle of the Eastern Hurricane Corridor. NC sits so far out in the Atlantic that we get hit almost every time.
Everyone hold hands, be Safe, see you at the Play Ground.

@Drythe...being from Houston, I’m no stranger to hurricane preparedness. Also, my husband lived many, many years in the US Virgin Islands prior to our move here, and has been through more Cat 5’s than anyone would want to experience. When it comes to being prepared, he is King.

@traveler. I assume you mean you live in Alaska? What city? I love Alaska; I could easily live there as I have an affinity for mountains.
