Is supposed to hit Hawaii. Here in Alaska we are waiting for aftermath, lots of rain and winds. How about Wa. And Ore.?

Well here in WA and Oregon, we could sure use the rain,to, hopefully get rid of some of this smoke!

It would be great though, if it misses Hawaii!

@SurferWife - We just replenished our hurricane needs boxes and changed batteries, stocked up on water, etc. August through October season ramps up during this time span.

Our little Beau has his go bag packed as well should we need to leave. And, I also travel with Simon, our African Grey Parrot - always an exciting adventure - NOT!!

Re: Hurricane Lane

[ Edited ]

Aloha Friday morning update (since I promised to update y’all). For O’ahu, since that is where I live...not much rain...yet, anyway. The latest cones don’t even have us in it, but we should still get plenty of rain regardless. I saw on news that Honolulu has had wind gusts of 44mph. Up here on the Nort Shore just typical trade winds. It will probably be a rocky night, though. Anyhoo...guess I’ll shop some summer clearance items today!

@SurferWife,  when all else fails, shop!

It is a crazy storm. It's dumping tons on some areas and none on others. I hope it just keeps marching on and does't pause anywhere.

Take care!

@hennypenny...indeed...the Big Island (Hawai’i Island) has gotten hammered with rain, especially Hilo. We are staying glued to the Weather Channel, which provides the most technical updates.

For now, I’m open to suggestions for some great summer clearance finds...Isaac, Susan, Linea, Joan Rivers. 😜

I hope that the hurricane does miss Oahu as I have family that lives there.

And yes the Pacific Northwest could use some much needed rain. We are in a drought and haven't had any rain here in the Vancouver, B.C. area in more than a month. Today is fairly clear but the last couple of weeks have been smoky off and on -- mostly on.

Lane is now officially a tropical storm. No major impact to O'ahu; we've had on and off light rain. It is windier in Honolulu than up here on the North Shore. In fact, it's been uneventful for our island. It's not completely over, though, so tonight we may get more rain. Big Daddy just put a quiche in the oven, so all is good. Thank you all for thinking of us. ❤️🌴😎
