In our valley for the last week at 8 p.m.  People are coming out on their decks/yards and howling ‘to relieve stress and to support people working to serve us’.

Seen some online info about this so tonight DH, GD and I went out and howled - what a good time we had.  Everywhere someone was howling quite a noise.  Can’t wait for tomorrow.

@dulwich We are also doing this in the SF Bay Area at 8 PM our time every night.  It definitely is a stress reliever!

There is a Facebook Group called "Go Outside and Joel at 8PM".

It's about more than just physically and verbally howling.

You can howl for any  reason, you're frustrated with your kids, or because you finished a project, or you as a meme that you liked.

It's an interesting group!

The Sky looks different when you have someone you love up there.

@dulwich I thought you were in Great Britain.  Maybe I misunderstood and thought you still lived there.  In any event, happy howling to you as well!

My youngest is a freshman at UCSC and had to move back home in March due to the virus.  He misses it terribly!  It's such a lovely town - I just don't like the drive down there when the weather is bad.

Howling?  Really?  To me that is simply scary and I hope people here don't decide to do that.  I think it would be frightening for some people.   Like me.  Or like people who are already afraid and alone and sad.

That sounds as annoying as the endless fireworks in my area...no thanks.

That would be fun! What a cool idea!
