In my neck of the woods at 5pm some neighbors do a drive by in their vw beetle bug convertibles and golf carts and honk horns.  The neighbors wait at the end of their driveways and wave American flags or do the wave as the mini parade passes by.

It's just a way of checking on folks to see if they are still alive and well.  I don't participate as 5pm can be nap time some days for me, but I think its a nice gesture the community does.

@dulwich, that sounds like a good time.  And what a great way to release a little anxiety, but yet be able to laugh while others in the neighborhood are doing it as well!

@pitdakota  One good thing everyone here isolating and last night you could check on neighbors as we see no-one about now so everyone was happy to see someone all still well.  Keep safe.

@dulwich, Absolutely!  We are all isolating here as well and have an active Facebook group that checks on each other to make sure everyone is doing okay.  But I may suggest we start doing this!  LOL!

Every darn dog in the neighbor, one guy has 8 to 10 alone, would be going bat-**** crazy and wouldn't shut up for hours.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   Funny you should say about dogs - we have 3 and lots up and down road but none of ours took any notice and didn’t hear any others barking.  

Maybe we are just bad howlers! Lol

I have howled with a group before just for the heck of it.  Its funny people laugh and giggle at each other and themselves.  Its sad the amount of folks that cant act "crazy" and let their hair down once in awhile.

@Imaoldhippie   Yes it was fun as people were all happy and laughing, waving our very old gentleman next door couldn’t  Howl so he rang his little bell on his wheelchair on his deck.

It did not last for hours barely couple of mins but it was nice to have some camaraderie if you know what I mean.  

Sometimes looking outside here you feel like the last ones on earth no-one around whereas before we saw joggers, Mums and babies, etc., but we are keeping safe so it is all good.
