to have a baby? I'm nearing 40, and have no children. I've kind of settled into a comfortable life with DH, and would be fine if we didn't have kids. But, I often feel I'm missing out on this whole baby, and raising kids thing.
I have a couple of friends that have had babies in their 40's, even late fourties, and I didn't think they were too old. But, I had a recent visit to the doctor and they recommeded now or never for having kids. I only think late fourties are a little too old because I wouldn't want to be dealing with retirement and college or teenagers all at once...I think you get my drift.
So, I know there are many different schools of thought on how old is too old to have a baby. And I am interested in some of your opinions on this issue. I'd like to know how old you think is too old, and why?
TIA~ jl
