OUrs is going on 10 years and I wish it would DIE. It's a POS LG french door. Love the FD but hate the fridge. A couple of months after the warranty expired (one year one i think) the ice maker would make ice but not drop it in the bin. So we have to make it and move it as needed . They wanted about $1,000 to fix it. Then most of the tracks for the bins started breaking and then the plastic bins started cracking. This is all within the first 2 years. We've put up with it but I'll be fine if the whole thing dies. Don't ever buy a LG fridge. Oh and their customer service is zero. There are thousands of posts online about how horrible both are.

We recently remodeled our kitchen. We bought a beautiful Samsung french door. Imo, it was the nicest looking refrigerator we had seen and fit in with our new kitchen. We, however, could not get used to the french doors.
Both DH and I were used to a single door with a bottom freezer. After trying to force ourselves to like the new one for a whole year, we gave it to our son and his wife and bought the kind we were used to. Someone else mentioned the alarms. We didn't care for that either For us, it is so nice to just open one big door and everything we have is right there is sight. I guess after 46 yrs. of having a one door with either a top freezer or bottom freezer....... it made us "set in our ways"!!!! We are much happier now that we have gone back to the one door. Expensive mistake.

So I see the heading, and think to myself "My fridge is pretty new; I'll put in my two cents here!" I'm giving hearts, and looking for folks who already may have my fridge, and then I notice the date of the OP. @TaxyLady I hope you are happy with the fridge you bought - in October!
