Hi @libbyannE,
I just hit the "reply" button in your post. Then, at the top, right-hand corner of the reply box that comes up, there's a "quote" button. I pressed that, and your quoted text above was added to this reply.
i hope this helps!
Woo-hoo! Thank you! Got it. I gave only been looking at posts off and on since Spring, and I never knew this. Tx again.
Thanks for asking this question. I didn't know how to do it either. I knew the old way, but with the changes I've been lost on some of this stuff.

@bonnielu - In order to quote the message you're replying to, you have to hit the "reply" button inside that message. Not the general one at the top left-hand corner of the thread.
Then, when you click on "quote" above the text box at the upper right corner, you should always see the message pasted into your reply box.

@goldensrbest@ - Are you putting a space between the @ sign and the name? You need to make sure there is no space for it to work. I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't work.
@Also, if you're replying to a particular post and you hit the @ sign it generally pops up a list of suggested names. You can just click on the one you want.

The @thing used to work for me, now it doesn't, just in the last week or so.

The device and/or browser makes a difference. It doesn't work across all combinations.

Hit the reply button on the specific post you want to quote.
Then hit quote.
And try not to reply in the quote box. Too many people do that, and it's annoying to read because you can't always be sure what's the reply and what's the OP that was quoted.

@Venezia, I don't think that's @bonnielu's problem...even when you click the general reply button at the top left-hand corner of the thread, there's a quote button that lets you quote the OP into your reply. I know when I browse the forum on my iPad, there are buttons that are sometimes there and sometimes not. Quote is one of those. *shrug*

@WenGirl42 - I know that the reply button at the top left corner of a thread gives you a "quote" button, but it will only copy in the original post of a thread.
I thought bonnielu was asking how to quote a different message within the thread. In that case, you have to use the reply button inside that specific message.
I don't browse the forum on my iPad very often, so I'm not aware of any problems with it.
