I live across the bay from San Francisco and woke up to 39 this morning!  That is cold for us.  It's 53 right now.  I'm dressed in layers.

@JudyL   yes! That's cold there!  We are south of San Jose and it was 40. I have to knit sweaters for the Koi. They are at bottom of pond doing their tooor thing. It's so cold.

I only found out, that the other day, it snowed 6" deep!! - -  and that we hardly,  just barely had cleared T'giving Day!.  Didnt even think to look out the window!

It was, & still is, sooo cold, my body, specifically my hips, wouldnt/won't allow me to step off the curb, outside in this below freezing cold, to cross the Parking Lot & retrieve the mail even!   SCARY, (esp for elderly & infirmed, (incl me), for starters)!!  

GOSH, albeit it relocated yrs ago, my original Yankee blood has turned remarkably, very, very, very thin!

@JudyL   yes! That's cold there!  We are south of San Jose and it was 40. I have to knit sweaters for the Koi. They are at bottom of pond doing their tooor thing. It's so cold.

@shoekitty  - I hear at least for my area, temps are dropping on Wednesday!  Or maybe they mean the following Wednesday, Christmas Eve. Brrrrr

@JudyL   I heard, just the strangest weather for us this time of year. Last year lots of rain, this year cold.  The Central Valley, around kettleman city and such, even Los Banos has been covered in fog and cold weather for 2 weeks straight.  We have been clear and blue, but cold nights!  Cool days. Had coat on in family room today. 
But nothing compared to the posters posting below, and -8 degrees!  Ouch, can even imagine.

The temperature is 8 and the wind chill is -6. It's gonna get colder through the day because of the wind gusts. I don't mind the cold weather as longs as it's no ice

86 in the So CA desert- cools down at night so I haven't had to turn the AC back on yet.  Warm all last week and will be this week as well.  Getting tired of my summer clothes already.  AC here on from late March through Thanksgiving.  Crazy-when the rest of the country is freezing.
