Almost everyone outside has a mask on. Wore a medical mask while at the ATM by my bank.
Local supermarket is just about running out of food each day, although less people in them (so my neighbor tells me....joined Instacart myself, so I won't be there) Neighbor streets seem mostly empty. Highways a little more.
No paper products of any kind to be found (TP, kitchen paper towels) except for facial tissue.

I saw this at the WM when I went to Walgreens (same shopping area). What are the carts blocking the front door to WM for? I did see a long line of people this was around 11. Are they "limiting" people inside?
I will go to neighborhood WM tomorrow early. I try to limit my time inside stores. Last week our store was well stocked but our "stay at home" order just went into effect last night.
Thankyou I'm curious.
I saw this also at my Wal-Mart today. I believe it will be to control number of people in store at one time. As someone comes out, they let another go in. Target is doing same thing.

thank you because I wanted to go early tomorrow to just the neighborhood market. There was definitely a line!
I only need a few things -- food wise, but, if this is the case I'll just go to Publix or Winn Dixie to get them. Neither store that I know of has this system in place yet.

Still no toilet paper however Costco finally has toilet paper. one pkg per customer. (should have done this long ago) at least they are doing it now. Some stores are requesting only one family member. I think they are doing this because there would be groups of families and each one was hoarding. The stores do have the 6 ft markings on the floor and everyone seems respectful of this. Walmart was not super busy.
This post just made me realize why shopping has been so much better. Not only is it quiet but not a bunch of family shopping going on.
Really one of my pet peeves.

Overall pretty good unless you want to clean, use the bathroom 😉, or cook rice or pasta.
Thanks for the smile! ![]()
That about summed it up when we went to one of our local supermarkets, early the other morning when they first opened for senior/immune compromised shopping.
I was actually surprised at how pretty well-stocked the store was, overall.
Employees were still stocking the store as we were there.
Like others have said though, with certain items it wasn't even really worth trying to look for them.
One thing that I have had trouble finding, is instant white rice. I like to use it in soup especially, and I haven't been able to find any kind in a box.
It's not a big thing for me, but it's interesting to see what kinds of items people are buying right now.
Toilet paper is still limited.
I'm sure if we went to the store later in the day, it would have been gone again, along with the bread again.
Since we were there early, the store had some quantities of store-brand bread and toilet paper.
The meat counter was all picked over.
I'm in SE WI and we do have cases of the Covid Virus here.
Our Governor Tony Evers has us on "safe at home," as other states are also doing as well right now.

I drove by the grocery store and WM last night on my way home from work andthe parking lots for both were packed.
It’s been theee weeks since I was in a store and I have no plans to go in one any time soon. Too many unknowns about this virus and too many people ignoring the “rules” regarding social distancing.

I have not been in a store in a few weeks. I try to order online from Wal Mart and Kroger. Still no toilet paper. No meat.
No chlorox wipes or lysol.
I did order 1/4 of a been from a butcher, picked it up today. It was expensive to me, but it was a lot of meat, I was able to share a lot of it. I was tired of trying to find meat for my parents and I sure dont want them going out to wal mart

No paper products, few if any cleaning products (from bathroom to floor to dishes...etc.), and canned/frozen items are scarce. If they're restocking at night, the morning crowd is grabbing it up.

I was at Jewel and management had glass or very thick plastic (clear) partitons between casher and customer in the check out lines and also at Pharmacy. No employees wearing masks or gloves. I saw other customers with masks. There was hardly anyone in the store which was great. But no Lysol products, no toilet paper, no disinfectant wipes.
My friend told me that Target is only letting so many people in the store at a time which I think is smart.
I appreciate what the open stores are doing for safety. Walmart has made one way aisles.

We visited WM/Target/Aldi's/Giant Eagle over the last three days.
Take out food from a nearby restaurant too.
