It's crazy here in Texas Hill Country.  We are not going anywhere.  No deer yesterday.  Today, when I took Willow out, Starbuck came over.  I took Willow in and brought Starbuck a bunch of banana peels, 1 whole banana, mandarin peels, apple cores, and he was happy not having to share.  I didn't have my camera, so no photos...sorry.

Willow is definitely ready...

Puffer coat for really cold (which she doesn't like), red flannel for milder, and PJs...

Re: How are the roads?

[ Edited ]

Willow has quite the stylish wardrobe, and a willing stylist.  We had a dozen does and yearlings eating from the trees in our backyard yesterday.  With a over a foot of snow on the ground, I think the trees are probably all they can find for nourishment.

Oh, and the roads are snow-covered and dangerous.  Bet you don't miss Wisconsin right now.

Love Willow in the puffer coat! Woman Very Happy

No road problems here in FL, but when I was watching the Live Storm Chasers website yesterday they showed this scene from Hamburg NY. Yikes.

I sent it to my FIL (who followed us to FL) to remind him of when we both had farms in Ohio and had animals to feed and water in winter weather. Brrr, memories.

That's a buried car all the way to the right. A guy came out with a shovel and made an attempt to dig it out before throwing up his hands and walking away LOL.

@MamaWick Slick roads and the Hill Country are not a good mix. Staying home is a good choice.

Look at Willows face with the puffer coat-so funny!

Starbuck is your pet deer. He must have loved all those treats all to himself. That's what he gets for being your loyal friendHeart

Roads here are covered in snow. Sun was out yesterday & today so imagine with the melting freezing going on it's slick. It's cold at 12° but feels like -1°. Tomorrow shows 26°. Slowly coming out of the igloo.

I feel bad for all the people looking for help with their frozen pipes. We've had our faucets running for past 2 days. Will have to turn them back on tonight. Space heaters sold out in town.

It was warmer at a friends in Alaska yesterday compared to our temps. in Ok.

Stay Warm!

Roads are dicey here in N AL.  West of us they got more snow.  We got and are getting mostly a wintery mix.  Mostly I see sleet, not snow.  Our police department seems to be getting a bit frustrated with people out driving.  First they send out a text message saying they are asking the public to please stay off the roadways unless absolutely necessary.  Later they send one out saying PD alerts residents to stay off roadways.  Do not attempt to drive unless for an emergency.  Was surprised to see our local Lawler's BBQ send out a notice they were opening at noon.  Almost makes me want to send DH out to get a pound.  But, we live on a hill.

We got about 15 inches here in WI. Our power went ouot from Friday to Sunday. Let me tell you. Never take heat and electricity for granted. Our house was 48 degrees yesterday morning. We checked into a hotel cuz we just couldn't camp another night in our house and of course a couple hours later....we were back in business.  Thank goodness.  Oh yeah, the roads...they are ok. I've seen worse that's for sure!

Here in southern WV, the main road is snow covered like the picture; we just don't have much accumulation yet, altho 4-6" is expected by Wednesday a.m.
