@Sage04 wrote:@Icegoddess I've been on FB forever. By now they should have known if they were looking.
@Sage04 generally, I don't think they actually look unless someone reports you or something happens to bring you to their attention. I have heard of it happening though.

Believe me, it can be done. A person can have more than one ID. I know several people who do, It's just up to the person to remember which sign on to use. That said, my DH had a second ID and Facebook didn't like his posts so they canned that one. . 😆😆

Was he in FB jail? I was there once for one day because I got tired of been asked "What's on my mind" every day so I said a few choice words (no curse words) and I did this for about a week. One day, couldn't sign on. A friend who is always in FB jail told me what was going on. That was so funny.
@Sage04 He spent some time there too 😆😆😆
That's funny. Someone I know has been in FB jail for over a year. He had a dirty mouth and just didn't care. Glad he's gone.

if you're signing up in order to continue interacting through the QVC page, you can sign up using your forum ID rather than your real name.
@JeanLouiseFinch, you are not supposed to sign up with two different names. Only one sign-up per person. If FB finds out you have more than one account, they can ban you forever.
I suspect there are people with multiple accounts, I don't know what happens to them.
FB can find out if you're using the same computer or phone, everything is traced.
I'm not saying I agree.
God forbid someone would have more than one Facebook account! What do the PTB think pedophiles and child and other secks traffickers are doing? Those are the people who need to be cutoff. A person having two ID's for their own privacy protection posting funnies, cute animal pics, and things they find interesting is hardly a threat.

@Sunshine Kate They must make exceptions for certain people because they could have a personal account and a professional or business account using the same name or variations on their name.

@Icegoddess Oh for heavens sake, it's not that difficult. It's as easy as creating a Facebook account, any name you choose, use the search bar for "QVC", join, you're done. Easy. You can always leave.

Some people only have one computer. Four people could have a FB account and Post daily. Of course the IP address will be the same. What can FB do about it? Send the FB police?

@HonestLife I was just posting the official rules for those who might want to follow them. If not, go right ahead and do what you want. I'm already a member and have been for years. Not need to get all worked up about it.

@JeanLouiseFinch generally, a business would have a Page which is different than a personal account. The person owning the page uses their personal account to make the page. Same thing for Groups. I have 2 groups on Facebook. I know other people that have more than that. The difference between pages and groups is a Page is not really for conversations like we have here. Usually, only the Page owner can create a post and then the followers of the page can comment on those posts. But, the followers cannot create a post. In a group, any member of the group can create posts, so it is more like a forum. Of course, the owner of the group can have rules about what can and can't be posted and can delete posts and members who violate those rules much like the mods here. Owners can also add Admins to help with the process.

@Icegoddess Trust me, it's the last thing I worry about. It's a Facebook group. Just no need to complicate things. These rules are spelled out when you join. Scare tactics are just that.. scare tactics. Carry on..back to my life. That exemplifies why these Forums need to be gone.

@HonestLife They're currently probably extending all their resources on rooting out all the stuff THEY consider misinformation or fake news so they can stick a placard over the post. God forbid someone use the word hoe in a gardening group. You'll get put in FB jail for that one.
