I just tried DDG, too, with good results.

I quit Facebook some time back. One reason WAS the intrusive ad stuff and the more you would go through and delete stuff, the more you got so I gave up.

I'm glad it's changing where you can get rid of that stuff!

I know! It seems counter intuitive, doesn't it? But they need the access in order to opt out for you. It's a safe website, and a good service.
