@SeaMaiden  went to Costco at 6:30 this morning to avoid the crowds. Gas "only" 3.59.  Don't know if she is a worrier or a hoarder but the   woman ahead of me filled a big SUV and 4 oversized red gas cans.

That would be one of the least expensive stations in my area --  Palm Beach County

I know that just for us to get to town, we have to drive 20 miles, so four gas cans in reserve at home is absolutely nothing. We keep at least 60 gallons on hand for the generators, chain saws, lawn mowers, and as backup if we need let the tank get too low and need to head out somewhere.

If it were up to me, and feasible, we'd put in one of those farm tanks and keep it filled. It's something we have always talked about, but just never gotten accomplished.

Re: How Much is gas where you live?

On my way home the other day I noticed gas at "my" station was $4.61.   Seemed too high and I was just too tired to stop.  The following day, going to an appointment, same station was $4.81, and couldn't get back to it.

I decided yesterday I would fill up no matter how high it was .... and ended up paying $5.05 at the cheapest station around in Burbank.

Well,  look on the bright side ....  if anyone remembers gas rationing, long lines and shortages in years past .....  even if the price is outrageous .... at least it's AVAILABLE.

This too shall pass ....  Woman Indifferent

Phoenix is about $3.99 and going up daily. Even the Sams Club was $3.96.

Re: How Much is gas where you live?

The Costco near me went up 30¢ overnight but they're still 60¢ less than the station we would normally go to.

In NJ you don't have to be a member to buy gas there.  It's Visa credit card only and yesterday there was at least a 40 minute wait.

I'm sure there were a few choice words when people that waited that long found out that they don't take cash or had the wrong credit card.

$3.50-ish a gallon for regular unleaded here where I am outside of Ft Lauderdale. I haven't been out for 2-3 days though.

Re: How Much is gas where you live?

3.59 or 3.79 I think at Costco in PA, & other gas stations are at 4.00+ already!!

I go through 1-3 tanks of gas a week for my business so unfortunately I have no choice. I'm raising my prices to my customers slightly.

I'm in PA. and it's about $4.05 here. Had to go to NJ this morning so filled up there and I think I paid $3.85.The tax is lower in NJ on gas.
