About 16.50. I hardly ever go to movies. Once a year with grown grandkids. This past July i took 4 granddaughters age 13-30 and myself. I nearly keeled over at the ticket box,,,over 75 bucks. Yes ...real money. Not to mention popcorn ....and we smuggled candy and water in. It was close to 90 bucks for 1:45 mins. I could have a bought a designer handbag on sale. But it was the grandkids, and a special treat since they cant afford to go themselves unless gramma takes them. My older granddaughter said she and her boyfriend go on tuesday nights if they go,and it is 6 bucks with a movie club they belong to. I do not know how young families do it,

I have several movie theaters around me. The one I usually go to is about $5.00 on Tuesday matinee and the rest of the week the matinee is just over $8. I never buy popcorn or coke, etc. I usually end up going out to lunch or an early dinner after the movie. I stay away on weekends or evenings.

I just bought a movie gift card to include in my grandson's Halloween Card. I spent $25 which should cover his admission, popcorn and a drink (I hope) in Lincoln, NE. If not, his parents will make sure to give him cash before he and his friends go!
When we go to the movies, we never buy anything from the snack bar. I'm diabetic; we stop afterward for a late dinner and drink.

The only theaters near me are the ones with reserved seating and recliners. They run $12-$15 a ticket.
Snacks are expensive. I have to get movie popcorn at the movies. LOL

We don't go very often.
Our local theater has $5 tuesdays. Normal matinees are 6.50
Regular adult prices are 9.50 and kids are 7.50.
For my entire family to go to a regular show its $49 in just tickets. Add Popcorn and we are close to $75.

I went to see "Downton Abbey" the day it opened. For my ticket, a large buttered popcorn and medium drink: just under $30. I know this because I came in with a $30 Regal giftcard and I now have $1.84 left on it.

I bought Downton Abbey tickets online at Fandango and reserved seats were $13.50 each.
