When I was in high school I took a health class my senior year.  One class was spent on nutrition and portion size.  The teacher said that one serving of pasta was equivalent to half a cup.  You go to any restaurant and the portion they serve you is equivalent to four servings.

From the serving size for potato chips, it appears a chip is about the equivalent of a French frie.  I use the phrase "10 calories per(chip/frie)".

My husband jokes about serving sizes.  On a meal for 4, he jokes, "except for our family".  

I think it all changed with the "super size me" time period.

I am not nit all that fond of eating potato chips, but I love the ones made with sweet potatoes.

Since sweet potatoes are better for you than white potatoes, It stands to reaaon that eating more than 10 is better for you too.

Not really a fan of potato chips, but I can eat just one and be done with them.

Plain potato chips, I can eat just one, but bring out the dips and I can eat, and eat, and eat! lol!!

Whatever the bag size is! Individual bag, that's a serving, 12 oz. bag, that's the serving! Same theory applies to cookies!

Lays Kettle Potato Chips....a serving is however strong my will to stay on my diet is that day, lol.
