ABOUT 4 A WEEK JUST TWO OF US
‎07-14-2014 07:39 PM
4 loads, tops. DH does his own laundry, too, and that includes his "stuff".

Two of us in the house--
Usually I do one load a day...clothes or towels. I alternate. There will be more than that when I am washing sheets or the dog's bedding. :-)

I do about 20 loads a week.
Family of 5, 3 are teens all in sports, they change their clothes at least twice a day, bedding, towels.
I wash our bedding at least once a week sometimes twice. Towels constantly.
When I figure, It takes 2 hours to wash/dry and then fold and put away, that's the equivalent to a full time job.

Some weeks it's more because of dish towels and rugs, things like that.
I don't like to see piles of clothes building up, so that's why I wash every day.
same here! I don't like big piles of laundry staring at me so I try and stay on top of it with one load a day; sheets or blankets take a couple of extra loads; just 2 of us at home now.

I used to average two loads a week, but now it's quickly turning into three or four.
I have a new baby and a toddler who goes through clothes like crazy now -- The laundry seems to be piling up daily!

Nine loads weekly for my son and I..when I was married and had a family of five..it was 21 or more. Nbd, I love to do laundry..if you do it daily, its not a big deal. I did some care for a single mom of 2 boys (7 and 9)..the first day, I did 8 loads of laundry!!!..she was the worst housekeeper I have ever seen! The boys didn't wear underwear because there were NO clean clothes! The kitchen was a nightmare..needless to say, I wasn't there long!

Usually 7-8 loads, but some of them are smaller loads. I may do two small white loads throughout the week instead of letting everything go til the weekend. Add in a load or two of towels and cloths and the load of bed linens....I change the bed linens every week; during the hot summer, it may be twice a week.
And I do a full load of stuff for our six cats every week: their pillow cases, their blankets, etc. They have a lot of pillows on window seats throughout the house, on furniture, on stands, on top of the fridge in the kitchen (two of our cats love to sleep there in the afternoon), and everything all have covers. They have their own kitty couch and that has a cover, too, although I might only wash that once a month.

I am only washing for two these days, so about 4 loads for per week on clothes, which I do on the weekends. I do a load or two of towels/sheets mid-week.
I am going to say average is 5 to 6 loads per week.
When my children were small, of course, all bets were off and every day was laundry day.
