He is blunt...to the point. I am measured and take my time to respond as a whole. If you do not want the truth...do NOT ask him. ![]()
I am a neat-nik, he waits until it is awful then cleans and organizes perfectly and then starts making a mess again. I think everything has a place and it takes just a few extra minutes to put things away.
I can procrastinate on some matters...he is a go getter...get it done.
I question everything beforehand...he doesn't...he will handle anything as it comes.
I am so happy we agree on so many things though...more as time goes by.

What a fascinating subject, I really had to think on this one. I'm the one that finally insisted on a will and power of attorney for us after 35 years. He thought I was rushing things. I did all the groundwork and dragged him to the attorney's office for a final review and signing. To this day he has not told me his burial or cremation wishes. He just refuses to discuss it. My wishes are written down and transmitted to our daughter. He trusts me to handle the bills and investments, I guess he trusts me on this issue, too.

A few little things like I'm a sit in the bath tub and relax woman and he's a get into the shower guy. Those things mean nothing in the long run of 52+ years of marriage. About the only "big" thing is that I love to go shopping and he hates it.
Of course I get my way most of the time. ![]()

We are totally different as far as our political beliefs. Like night and day. So we never discuss politics nor do we talk about who we voted for. We do not like the same movies, TV shows, or music. We are like polar opposites.

Yes, and that too. Very funny. Same situation. And he takes real care finding that bar of soap. It has to have little or no chemicals in it. Even Costco does not carry it anymore.

My husband is extremely intelligent, I have the common sense.
He's calm and laid back and I'm the worrier.
He's the saver and I'm the spender.
He's meat and potatoes and I'm plant based.
He's always hot, I'm always freezing.
He's a stomach sleeper, I'm a side sleeper.
He likes sports, I don't.
But we have so much more that's in common, than not.![]()

My husband and I are different enough to be fascinating to each other but alike enough that seeing each other is like seeing a part of ourselves.

That really made me laugh. It is the main complaint I have when a new animal adopts me. I bring it home and first thing you know the newbie and the established crew are teaching each other their bad habits. Why not exchange the good ones.
