I love the smell of food while I am cooking and eating. However once Dinner is over, and I clean up the kitchen, I don't want to smell lingering food odors, so I almost always light a candle and leave it burning for a few hours afterwards!

I wish I could @CANDLEQUEEN .  I bought so many lovely Harry Slatkin candles that I can only burn if my husband is gone for a few hours.  He has breathing difficulties and they irritate him.  So I can't burn after a meal.

I must be an oddball.  I don't mind the lingering food smells.  Even if something burned, the scent eventually dissipate by the end of the day.  I burn candles in my kitchen quite often too.

I cooked Salmon and broccoli tonight and I placed a bowl of vinegar on the counter while it cooked.  Amazing.  It really worked.  Thank you to the posters who suggested it.

@ThinkingOutLoud  I ordered a Blueair 211+ air purifier for our open concept home.  It has really helped a lot.
