How Do You Get Rid of Cooking Smells?

Opening the windows would be ideal but that won't work with the weather. Lighting a candle will only add another scent. Open floor plan so what would be effective? tia

I find if I remove the range hood filter to soak and scrub it does help for some cooking odors like bacon.

If it's safe to do so (cats especially), place a small bowl of white vinegar on your counter.  The acid absorbs odors.  Works wonders, even if fish has been cooked.

As long as the sun's out, regardless of the temps, open windows with sunlight coming in.  I do that all the time in the winter, just for fresh air.

open the windows......it doesnt matter what the temperature is.....this is the BEST way to remove the smells and let the neighborhood know what you have been cooking. Smiley LOL

I have a small air cleaner that I run if I'm cooking fish or frying a steak. I also swear by the X/O odor spray. I think it's from the Campenelli or Don Astlett line.

Whether windows are opened or closed, no matter what the weather is; I leave my air purifier running 24/7.

An air purifier really helps, especially when living in an apartment.

I heat up the vinegar on the stove, and walk through the house with the pan, works every time
