For pizza out, we use a knife & fork - scrape off the toppings, eat them, leave all the crust. If we want to eat crust, I make pizza at home with my own approved dough.
Slicing pizza can be different in certain areas too, triangles or squares.

If I'm out in public I use a knife and fork. In my own home, I pick it up and eat it from the point back towards the crust.
I've only seen people fold it in half on TV shows or movies that are based in NY and possibly NJ.

get a calzone lol!😆
Just kidding but I have only ever eaten it that way-not folded, no fork or knife. Maybe it is a regional thing.
@on the bay i think i love calzones more than regular pizza!.....my favorite is red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, spinach, and caramelized onions. sprinkled with parmesan cheese. red sauce also served on the side for dipping.

I'm from NY and we fold there. When I moved south, it was not looked upon favorably so when I am in public I eat it with a knife and fork, but at home, I fold.

That is so funny cause yeah unless you are from NY and fold, its like why would you want to ruin the pizza?! I have family in NY and when they come they always like Ledos pizza which is only cut in little squares so I never see them fold😄

I've only ever used a knife and fork on very sloppy deep dish pizza. If I can't hold onto it without it falling all over the place, then I reluctantly use a fork.
All the rest of the time I use my hands, both out and at home. Folding is for a slingle slice of NY style pizza. Everything else just nom it down from tip to crust.
Thin crust pizza is usually cut in squares.

New Yorker here. I have never eaten pizza with a knife and fork. I fold it if it is messy but have never seen anyone eat it with a knife and fork except in Italy where it comes as a whole pie...

Yes Ledos is the great equalizer.

I only fold the crust part of it, not the whole wedge.

From what I have heard, I can never run for political office because I use a knife and fork. I will pick it up once it's close enough to the outside crust to not flop down. BTW, I also eat fried chicken with a fork. I'll pull the meat off with a fork and then pick it up to eat.
