below 30 with any kind of wind chill factor and I am not very happy.

I will not go outside if it's 10'F or lower. It's too dangerous!

Anything below 40 is too cold for me. Fortunately, we don't have too many days where I live, where it gets colder than that.

It's 6:17p, snowing temp at 18*, but it's a bit windy so with the wind chill feels like 9*. The temp will be at -3 tonight. Thank goodness for Malden Mills sheets!, they keep you toasty warm without overheating.

Forgot to mention, i don't like it when it's below 40. Last two winters here (Anchorage) have been pretty mild, so we've been lucky. We'll see what this winter brings.

I would love to live in AK all summer. Been there twice & loved every minute of it.

Below 30 is too cold. I hate Winter (and snow) since I am older. I prefer Summer, the hotter the better.
Why do I hate Winter? Because I can no longer shovel, sled, risk falling with my bad back, or do anything I used to do in the snow when I was younger. All Winter is to me, is more time stuck inside!

LOL @JaneyD I totally understand! We used to have an elderly neighbor who was originally from Indiana. Every time we had a cold spell, he'd say, "If this keeps up, I'm going to have to move farther South!"

@Plaid Pants2, I remember one year with the wind factor it was 80 below. It was extremely cold and you had to wear many layers, cover your face. I actually walked a block in it. I was young. This was in the Chicago area. I actually like the crisp air of the cold but when it's 10 below that is cold for me. You could not live in this area. ![]()
