That week I was just bundling up and walking to work. Too cold to start the car! It was only a couple of miles, so it was a nice walk. Every time I inhaled the inside of my nose froze. I was afraid my (wet) hair would freeze and break off. It was an experience, for sure.
I like the cold, though. I would so totally rather have too cold than too hot. Anything from 60s up starts to be hot to me and 70s and up is TOO hot. Now, with my health challenges, if I spend more than a few minutes in the heat I start to turn red and fall out.
Yay winter!
I'm with you. I always say I can add layers of clothes to stay warm, can only take off so much before I'd be arrested or scare little children!
I remember one year we had a lengthy bitter cold snap of below 0. I used to have a mirror right in my entry way and as I walked in the door after taking the dogs out for a quick pee, I looked to odd in the mirror. My eyelashes and eyebrows were totally frosted white!

I'm a SoCal girl. If the temp is below 60 I need a coat.

Zero or colder. I love winter & snow. Hate winter rain & ice storms though. I don't like any temps above 70. That is why I am not a snowbird. I love living in an area with seasons.

I suppose once you get to negative numbers, it's too cold.

As long as I have a sufficiently warm coat and a way to keep my hands warm, I can handle into the 30s for short periods of time. My preference is at least 45 in the daytime, though.
SoCal born and raised and "cold" there is anything under 60, but I was happiest when it was in the 50s.

0 is my breaking point.

Let's see, I hate summer...heat & humidity are never friends.
I like high of 50 without humidity...but in the 20's is o.k. once it gets lower than 20 I can stay indoor but worry about all the poor animals outside.
I guess anything lower than 15 and it's cold and runs up my heat bill...

For me it's less about how cold and how many days in a row it's cold. I live in central Texas, so it doesn't get very cold very often. The winter before last was especially hard here. I only have about five days worth of sweaters for days where the high is below 55 and that winter had me scrambling to make sure I didn't wear the same thing twice in a work week. I'm also not used to the whole multiple layers topped by a scarf, gloves, and coat thing, so days on end of that get old fast when I usually one have to do it a few times a month.
