I absolutely agree, Win.
Which made me wonder why there isn't a "How Can Sandra Say That!!" followed by a "How Can Carolyn Say That!!" thread.
I watched presentations by both of these hosts who clearly stated not to be concerned because "This will not damage your hair." Really? Since when does sucking your hair onto a 400 degree curling iron not cause damage?
I didn't see all the presentaions so I have no idea how many others made the same claim, but I have to wonder, if there are so many concerns here about truth in advertising, why do the others get a pass?
What baffles me even more than the difficulity of working with small pieces of hair is that the end result isn't particularly attractive.
What's so good about having a bunch of "strings" dangling from your scalp? Reminds me of Medusa. JMO
When this Conair curling machine first came on the market in late 2014 or early 2015, my stylist was working at Ulta. When I asked her about the machine she said she had not used it but, she thought it looked dangerous. While I was in the chair we looked up the reviews on the machine on the Ulta site. There were enough instances of hair getting stuck on the site that my stylist said it would be foolish to risk using the thing.

The contraption looked exactly like a hair-trapper. First thing I thought on seeing it. I've had my hair caught enough times to stay away from that thing. Even after turning off tools, I've lost hair untangling.
Quality Control should have taken care not to sell it. And certainly if it passed QC, the host should not make the selling point that it never tangles in that scary tool.
