Interesting. If a former host's name replaced "Shawn" certain posters would be buzzing around thread, clapping the OP on the back between sneers, giggles, eyewinks and elbow nudges.
It's a waste of time to look for consistency. As always it's who it's about not what was done.

I'm totally with you skylark! If someone tried to give me one I'd throw it at them. I bet Q gets a ton of returns on that stinker of an item.

I really do question QVCs integrity. And, I put the blame, squarely, on TPTB, not, the hosts.
I don't watch that much, nor, do I buy that much, so, I don't know if this is something new, but, although what they do may be legal, I think it's amoral.
All these things are intentional:
Stating only Easy Pay prices, as if they were the total cost. (I don't care about the argument that people can read or go online. That doesn't change what is stated by the hosts. A lie is a lie.)
Selling items that are known to malfunction.
Stating that items are new and never recycled, and, then, shipping out used/returned items.
Having Flash Sales that are not. (The items in yesterday's Jewelry Flash Sale had been discounted for months at the exact same Flash Sale prices. I know, because I'd been stalking many of the items for months. When I saw the Flash Sale, I looked up the pieces I'd been stalking. ...they were the exact same prices)
There are other examples that I can't think of right now.

When I saw the demonstration I couldn't believe how long one has to stand there while the curl is curling....forget it. How about the good old fashioned way of wrapping damp hair around the finger and pinning it...I do it often......and works like a charm....just fluff it out and looks like beachy waves....easy peasy.

I wash my hair, towel dry it, and fluff it with my fingers. That's it.
If I am going "out," I use my Perfector on the ends.
My hair has never been in better condition.

She never watches any host presentaion shows "she's an entertainer"
Oh, I totally agree. Her "thinking" she's an entertainer does not make her one. She doesn't entertain me in the least.

I absolutely agree, Win.
Which made me wonder why there isn't a "How Can Sandra Say That!!" followed by a "How Can Carolyn Say That!!" thread.
I watched presentations by both of these hosts who clearly stated not to be concerned because "This will not damage your hair." Really? Since when does sucking your hair onto a 400 degree curling iron not cause damage?
I didn't see all the presentaions so I have no idea how many others made the same claim, but I have to wonder, if there are so many concerns here about truth in advertising, why do the others get a pass?

@SusieQ_2 The others, Carolyn, Sandra and all of them, get a pass because if some people see a chance to bash Shawn they can't get to the computer fast enough so they can be first to start a thread. It gets a little stale, actually. So, lets face it, if Shawn lied so did all the others, but it's ok for all but Shawn. Really?

And did you all see the tiny little strips of hair the vendor put in that thing? Also, the way she wouldn't go up closer to the root, for some reason.
I've had my hair get tangled in so many things, and it felt like it was going to tear my hair out by the roots.
None of the gadgets can nor should be "guaranteed."
