Did you gain weight over the holidays?  I gained 5 lbs and I know it is from too much See's candy!!  It seems everywhere I went someone was tempting me with it!  I am not a overweight person but it still bothers me to see that number on the scale!!  I am walking a lot to get it off!!

My dh has gained some also!! He told me yesterday that his pants must have shrunk!!  I don't think so!!!Woman Wink

I lost weight from baking a lot of cookies and not taking the time to eat and not really feeling likr eating but now I probably will since I got my apetite back.

I came through the holidays just fine. I weigh myself every morning and write the weight down. I want to be accountable to the number I see on the paper.  That number dictates my eating for the day.

The food at the holidays is out of control though. We were given so much. I gave some away, froze some, my husband is plowing his way through some and some was, regrettably, thrown away.

I've already decided that we won't be giving food gifts to anyone this Christmas. It's just too much.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I've always had a weight problem.  I have been on WW for a year.  I sailed through Christmas and actually lost a little over a pound that week.  New Years wasn't pretty.  LOL  I gained nearly 3 pounds over that weekend.  I already have it back off though!

Yay for me!  It is such a struggle.

I ate a little when I went to my son's for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I did not eat anything after these events that would cause me to gain weight. I have struggled to lose weight and keep it off. It is more important to me to be healthy than eat all these unhealthy foods. I have been eating healthy since last April and have lost 57 lbs. I still need to lose 13 more lbs. Once I get down to my ideal weight, I will maintain it. It is to hard to lose and then gain it back. I have been on this cycle for a long time and decided no more. I look at these foods and say it may taste good at the time but I have to pay a penalty.

I gained 5 lbs, too. And I haven't gotten it off yet.

Thank God I wasn't around any See's candy....the gain would have been much worse. I love that stuff!

@elated  We sound lot alike.  I too have lost then gained many times.  The most I lost was 60 pounds.  I am not going to aim for quite as low of a goal this time around since I'm 60.

My friend and I decided this is our last time at losing.  We aren't ever quiting WW again and we are not regaining the weight again.  We can do it!

I am 70 years old. When I can get out and walk, I walk/run at least 5-6 miles. I live in CO and it has been cold and snowing. The temperatures have ranged from 22 to -10. We have an exercise room with all the equipment in our apartment complex where I live but I don't like using it. I much prefer to walk.
