Re: High School Yearbooks and Class Rings

[ Edited ]

Jostens was the company our school dealt with for ordering class rings, graduation announcements, etc.  I just looked online, and the style of class ring I have starts at $379; they no longer offer the styles of necklaces I bought.

Re: High School Yearbooks and Class Rings

My daughter now in college didn't want any high school yearbooks. She

told me they will just pile up and sit around and more or less be clutter.

Never even mentioned any interest in a class ring.

My son a junior in high school does not want the year books either. He

said they are a huge waste of money and I know he is right.

I still have all my yearbooks from the 80"s. I believe they cost somewhat

around $22-$28 from freshman through senior year. I guess I got all four

for around what one book costs these days.

I also got my class ring and class necklace and they now sit in a jewelry

box. In the long run, yes, they are a waste of money.

If I was in high school now I would never pay that kind of money for a year

book.

Re: High School Yearbooks and Class Rings

My two sons had no interest in yearbooks or class rings, my daughter wanted yearbooks but no ring. She is my youngest and graduated in 2016 then her yearbook was close to $100.  Can't imagine what the price is now.

My son will graduate in 2024.  As an athlete he has wanted all of his yearbooks.  He couldn't care less about the class ring.  He does also have a Letterman's jacket with all of his patches.

I still have all of my yearbooks going back to elementary school.  When I go home to my parents' house I enjoy still looking at them.

You had year books in grade school??? I don't know ANY grade school that had those. What a trip that would be to look at now. I have a class picture taken in grade school. I still remember everybody's name, lol.

Re: High School Yearbooks and Class Rings

I still have mine from 1954.  intersting for me to read after all these years.

I still get invitations for class reunion dinners.  Now they combine years together. I'm sure not everyone still alive in my class. We are now 87.
