My sister and her husband have a cabin on the Mesa.
It's atop of Alexander by the lake. They inherited it through his Grandparents. They had it rebuilt about 10 years ago. Great for summers. Original cabin lasted many years.

use to live in california for near 7 years (76-81). Know those santa anna winds are nasty. when they whip up you had no idea either. when i lived there it would be nice for a few hours and winds would shift and we would get the farm dirt blown into the house if i had windows open.

have not been back to california  for many years have lived on east coast for many years.
