Those silica gel packs that come in shoes and other things - they work great for keeping moths out of woolens.  I read about this years ago in Parade Mag.

If you wear sneakers or any shoe w/o socks, to keep your feet from stinking up your shoes (YES YOUR SHOES/SNEAKERS DO STINK) pour BABY POWDER into your shoes.  Actuallly any powder will do the job.

"Stinky" shoes/sneakers will stink up a house/apartment w/a quickness.

Piece of stocking over brush bristles = DRY SHAMPOO

Not really a hack.......when using dishwasher no need for the "dry" option.  Use "air dry."  Your dishes will be bone dry & burning hot as if you used "dry."

Amazon devices.  I never use the "timer" function because you have to tell it to STHU!  I always use the REMINDER function.  You tell your device to "remind" you in so many seconds, minutes, hours.  Then, it will ask you what the reminder is for.  When the "reminder" activates, it will make a loud weird/aler sound.....tell you what your reminder is for 2x's & shut itself off.

You can also set multiple reminders throughout the day, week & month on one device or all of them if you have one in each room.

If you have home video security, instead of viewing on your teeny tiny phone screen, view on your BIG SCREEN smart tv!  Even better, view on your desktop computer or 15"+ laptop screen.

  • Bake Turkey Stuffing/Dressing in Muffin Tins, that way everybody gets some of that desired crusty part in their serving.

  • Dip the sulfah ends of matches in melted wax to keep them dry, when you're going camping.  Then scratch when ready to light

  • Put your purse belongings in a plastic baggie,  then inside yr purse/fanny pack when leaving home, before boarding rides at Amusement Parks esp ones with wet rides.

  • Store cans of baked beans upside down so you don't have to scrape them out the bottom when you open the can.

  • If ordering something online, since places can fake a good review, only read the negative reviews, since they are probably not faked.

  • To make it easier to quickly find most used keys, I paint both sides of the key head with brightly colored nail polish. I use a different color for each key. The nail polish is extremely durable.

  • Pool Noodle Water Hose  - If you need to fill up a bucket that won’t fit under your sink’s faucet, bust out a pool noodle. Set the bucket on the floor, slip the pool noodle over the faucet and run it down to the pail.

A Pool Noodle makes for lots of Hacks, if you search for them on the web, esp now that Dollar Tree has them in abundance.

I use the plastic bread clip on my roll of packing tape so I don't lose the end that I just tore off.
