I place an order for several items at one time.  7 to 8 hours later I can't edit or change something in that order because it's ( in process ) .  4 days later it's still ( in process ).  Is this ridiculous or what?

I have that problem, too. Must be they don't want any cancellations. It is very frustrating.

There is a period in the middle of night when the Q computer is busy and some normal transactions cannot be completed.  Try again in the morning.

There are also occasions when items are shipped by the vendor, and once placed, the order cannot be diverted.

Wow yes I agree that seems weird. I think I remember that same situation happening to me. Couldnt edit my order and it was before 6 hours later and midnight change of day. 4 days later it was still in process. I thought hmmmm way to lock me into an order LOL. Maybe some things come directly from vendor?? In many transactions one has 3 business days to cancel or change but I guess that does not apply to these venues. I became "gun shy" and over think now contemplating all aspects until I dont order LOL. I wonder why this happens as well.

@buddylou

Did you call Customer Service for assistance?

Yes, I called customer service and was told the order was to far along, and 4 days later it's still "In Process".

@StormygirlI'm pretty sure the laws giving us 3 days to back out have nothing to do with orders we initiate like those we do here at QVC (or HSN, or Amazon, etc.)  If someone calls you, you have different rights. Also, some states give us rights on big ticket items like home renovation contracts.

I have had buyer's remorse a few times and been unable to cancel an item even two hours later. However, the cancellation request went through the next day. I believe @Kachina624 is correct, there are a few hours overnight when the system won't process cancellations.

Cacellations or edits to an order are never guaraanteed.  While HSN allows up until Midnight (ET) on the day of order for most packages, it is the exception.  QVC makes no such guarantee (nor does any other major retailer).

The lesson here is to make sure one wants a product BEFORE plaing and confirming the order.

@KYTobySage advice -  it took me a long time to escape the lure of TV shopping on impulse, but I'm amazed how much happier I am with what I do purchase now that I think before I touch the computer or the phone.
