Yes, I still eat Hellman's and I always get the original. I don't buy the fat free stuff because they often substitute more sugar for the fat.

ITA, Hellman's only....and if it's fat free, it's not mayo.

It most definitely is the only mayo for me and I buy the original. When I moved to California from New York and was shopping for groceries I couldn't find Hellmann's on the shelves and began to panic. I searched high and low and suddenly saw a label that looked familiar and upon examining it I found out that Hellmann's is called Best Foods on the West Coast and breathed a sigh of relief!!!!

Best Foods is what my Mother used, and I also use it. When I would go to my friend's house as a little girl, her Mother would put butter and Miracle Whip on sandwiches. I had never heard of this, and did not like the taste.

ETA: My Mother used Del Monte ketchup, but I use Heinz catsup, funny the different spellings and pronunciations of this condiment, hope I didn't state ift backward, lol, and the mustard was French's, but I use Dijon. My Mother was a cook out of necessity, really more of a baker, but I am a cook by choice, so I experiment so much more than she ever did.

Hellman's when I was in the Midwest.

Now, Best foods here in the West. Never low fat. It's got too much sugar. Never Miracle Whip.

I like Plochman's yellow mustard.

I only like Kraft mayo. Other brands I stick with are All free detergent, Skippy peanut butter, chicken of the sea tuna, Pepsi diet/decaf (I don't like Coke), locally made bread, local ice cream, and for the most part locally made spaghetti sauce from an Italian store that's closest to my grandmothers (Too bad I didn't learn to make it like her homemade sauce when she was still here). Oh and Scott toilet paper only.

Otherwise I use any brand of ketchup and any brand of many other grocery products.

I worked in a supermarket for years. The generic type brands are the same (for the most part), as the brand without the fancy packaging. You are paying for the packaging.

I use the brands that I like best and many times that turns out to be a generic brand.
