Absolutely. Here on the West Coast it is Best Foods. Can't tolerate any other brand.

Same here. My grandmother used Hellmann's too. I don't remember what brands my mom used for ketchup/mustard/pickles. I do use Grey Poupon and French's yellow mustard but ketchup is whatever I grab first, Heinz or Hunt's.

I'm now using the Trader Joe's organic ketchup. I really like it a lot, which kind of surprised me... I used to think of ketchup as ketchup, no big deal. But I've changed my mind now Smile

As someone loyal to Heinz, on a whim I recently purchased this Ketchup at Trader Joe's. We don't use ketchup often, but I like to have it on hand for guests. I think Trader Joe's tastes just like the homemade ketchup served at a gourmet burger restaurant down the street. And it is so affordable!

I also use Hellmans. I tried Dukes once but it was nasty so went back. My mom also used Tide and that is my choice of detergent also.

I really don't have brand name loyalty. I usually pick up whatever is on sale. Some brands are slightly better than others but they're generally very close. I can't stand mayo so I definitely don't have a loyalty to any brand of that.

I tried making my own mayo...it wasn't worth it - nothing is better than Hellman's!

I stick with Hellman's original most of the time. I don't use a lot of mayo and the light mayo doesn't taste right to me. In a pinch I would accept Kraft mayo and believe it or not, ShopRite mayo is decent. Miracle Whip, never.

I'm not very brand loyal otherwise. I'll generally try whatever is on sale for tuna, ketchup, pasta, spaghetti sauce, paper products and detergents.

Hellmans is the best, never use, light of low fat anything. The mere title light or low fat ruins the real thing. IMHO!

I was raised on Miracle Whip. I bought it a few years ago, and did not like the way it tasted. I don't know if the formula changed or my taste buds did. I buy Hellman's or Duke's now.

Some of my Mom's staples and habits are in my kitchen. It's funny, now that she and my Dad are in their 70s and in excellent health, to hear her criticize something I make as being too salty or too fatty.

I tend to agree with you HonnyBrown, a lot of my Mom's recipes contained too much salt-- can you imagine meat loaf with not only a package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix and a Tsp. of salt for 2.5#'s of beef?

I had to remove the salt when I made it and I use only a half a package for a # of ground beef.

Mom's lasagna or manicotti recipe-- switched to low fat cheeses and its just as good!

I use Hellman's. I did re-visit Duke's after reading raves about it, but to me, it just wasn't as good as Hellman's.
