And! I don't care what you think, you don't treat a parent that way, especially in public. Too bad he didn't tell her to mind her manners.
I agree. It's not old fashioned, it's traditional.

I think she's probably right..............we won't see meals like that from future generations..........some because of health concerns............and some because we've polluted our food pool with hormones and genetic engineering............................raven

Like the State Farm commercial, "She sounds hideous".

In the great scheme of thing what in the heck difference does it make? It's a wonder they can find anything to eat that meets their exacting standards. We have more than a few food snobs on these boards.
You must certainly know that food/diet plays a key role in many disorders.
My grocery list?
Grass fed beef. Check.
Greek yogurt. Check.
No GMO's. Check.
Organic everything - mostly but especially fruits/veggies.
I wouldn't go so far to call people food snobs; you eat what you want, let me eat what I want.
It's very simple.

The old guy should have dumped his mashed potatoes squarely on her snotty little head.
I'd agree but would't want to waste mashed potatoes, especially with gravy.

Daughter is a rude creep. I hope she chokes on her vegetables.

This really did happen. He's a healthy guy too. He's put a roof over her head, food on the table, provided education, etc. does the baby sitting of the grandchildren almost daily (for free), supports her by paying some of her bills and STILL she behaves this way. She is going to throw a fit because she asked for something that cost $700 dollars which he could not provide and he told her so. He let her have $200 for her birthday, a nice pricey handbag, and some flowers. He'll be on her doo-doo list for a while. It's just mean spirited behavior on her part for a 37 year old. He has more love and forgiveness than she will ever have.
