Have you started your fireplace yet?

I want to but I use DuraFlame logs and they burn so easy so I may wait until tonight or until it is like 20 outside but I don't have a blower so I can only feel the heat up close and I will have to move my flameless candles around when it is burning.

Yeah I have had them on most of the weekend. I am sitting in my bedroom now doing some work, watching tv and posting here and I have the one in my bedroom on. It is cozy.

We don't burn wood. Aside from having a bird (it would probably kill him), I have a hard enough time breathing outside, during the winter, with all those other people burning wood. Guess I save a lot of money on wood, though! Smiley Happy I just store the battery operated lanterns and their batteries, and some newspapers, inside the wood-burning stove.

Yes, we have had ours on for about four weeks. It is a gas QuadraFire with a blower and heats our entire downstairs, and of course heat rises so it comes up here too.

yes, but we have gas (we changed from a wood burning) and electric fireplaces in many of the bedrooms now.

How nice to have more than one fireplace and one in the bedroom is very nice. I don't have gas in my home it is all electric but at times I wish I had gas, I prefer to cook on a gas stove........yet most all around here is electric now. Thank you for posting. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I forgot to ask but my friend put pinecone in her fireplace I think. She had me gather some up for her for that purpose but surely she does not put them in her fire?

You can use pine cones for kindling to start a wood fire.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.
