Have you sold something on Poshmark?

I am considering selling something on Poshmark.  Have you ever done this? How was the experience? Was it a hassle? Did you make any money? Thank you.

I've signed up to sell but haven't listed anything yet!  From what I've read, it seems pretty similar to ebay regarding payment and shipping the items.  I've put clothing at a local  consignment store, but they take such a big cut.  But they also do all of the work!

jump in I kicked the idea around for a year, wish I hadn't waited

not going to say it's quick money, but once I figured it all out. it's money in my pocket

@mormel20  I haven't sold anything on Poshmark but I have purchased a few things.  I was very satisfied with the items I purchased.

The whole process went smoothly, quick shipping, and items were packaged well.

Re: Have you sold something on Poshmark?

@jackthebear   I have a question if you are able to answer - I would appreciate it!

I just listed some nice designer handbags on Poshmark and one has sold.  I'm all ready to ship tomorrow, but is there any way I can avoid scammers or find out if this buyer is legitimate?

I understand how all the payment is done, my concern is that the person may claim there was nothing in the box.  I have pictures of the item (new condition).

Is there anything I need to due to avoid sending this to someone who may make a false claim?

some ideas

I usually check the buyers/seller about the posher to get a feel, are they new or been around, reviews as seller good or bad, sometimes you can tell if a buyer is dodgy just by reading the comments and love notes. and I have not sold to some because of them

there really is no way to find out if your buyer will pull that stuff on you, I personally don't sell anything fancy that might be the target of that.  but it's part of the online reselling. no risk no reward,

hope I answered yr question

hope this helps,

get a receipt from PO, when you ship

Re: Have you sold something on Poshmark?

@jackthebear   Just wanted to give you an update on my Poshnmark experience.  It's been almost a month since I started to list some handbags, and some new with tags shoes and clothes.  As of this morning, I've sold over $1500 worth of items.

My experience has been great so far....thank you again for helping me feel a little more comfortable when I had just started.  I always get a receipt when I ship, and it seems to be a great way to downsize (I have way more then I even thought I did) and get some $ for my trip to Europe later this year.

I'm sure my sons will be pleased for me to start getting rid of my excess...otherwise, they will have to when I'm gone.

Thank you again!!

@mormel20  I have not sold anything but have bought items from poshmark. Easy peasy. Got a beautiful brahmin bag new condition and reasonably priced. Not cheap but reasonable.
