A few years ago I got to throw out the first pitch at a Cleveland Indians game. I've gone to games there for years but this was my first time on the field.

I got free conert tickets from my boss who was getting divorced ( tickets originally for his wife) Tickets turned out to be for my ultimate favorite band The Rolling Stones , 4th Row in the No Security Tour. I cried when i saw where my seat was. It also meant there was no security in my area and a stage that had a runway down the middle. I merely took two steps over and got to touch Keith Richard's skull ring as they made their way down the runway to sing Gimme Shelter..
I will....never...forget that moment....ever..

One of mine was on my trip to the Holy Land.
I actually walked in the sand that Jesus walked in.
Although I did not appreciate it as much while I was actually there as I do now.
Walking ,over the sand in Jesus footsteps , many yrs later is the BIGEST once in a lifetime experience I will ever have..........

@LizzieInSRQ - My favorite band and my favorite song. Having seen the Stones many times, I can totally relate to your experience. How lucky were you?

I am fortunate to have done a lot of traveling and probably have many once in a lifetime experiences but the one that always comes to mind is a couple of years ago. We visited Denali national park, did a five mile hike up a mountain and sat up there and watched as the clouds parted and we saw the top of Denali Mountain! (aka Mt. McKinley) What an experience as the very top is only visible 30% of the time, while under cloud cover the other 70%.
@LizzieInSRQ @DecorDiva I have seen the Rolling Stones 13 times in my life and have to agree , awesome experience everytime!

Many fantastic experiences, trips. First time I flew in an airplane, trips to Europe, NYCity, San Francisco, Mendocino etc.
Also the funerals of my parents, husband.
All are lifetime experiences.

I won a national essay contest in high school. It included a cash prize and a trip to Washington, DC, where I was honored at the National Press Club and got to meet Helen Thomas. Helen was in the White House Press Corps and covered the administrations of 10 US presidents. Her press credentials are in the National Museum of History. She retired in 2010 and died in 2013 and I'm grateful I got to spend some time with her.

If I live through this pandemic, I hope it is "a once in a lifetime experience". On a positive note, being married to a wonderful man for the past 25 years.
