Have you bought anything from Temu?

I have not until last night. I never ever ever considered it but downloaded the app to look around. My granddaughter has bought some clothes from them but I haven't asked her what she thought. I bought two shirts using a credit card versus the debit card I normally shop online with. I'm holding out almost zero hope LOL but I knew I was going to stay curious about it until I tried it.

Yes.  Temu and Shein.  It started with my daughter about a year ago.  She had the cutest outfits and things for the house and she told me about TEMU and the low prices.  I was leary until she bought me a sweater.  I was impressed with quality and fit and the price.  I bought many things since and I have only been disappointed by one top.  I don't use a credit card.  I have one specific debit card that is not connected to my bank that use for online shopping.  My friend's daughter is getting married next fall.  She already bought her wedding gown and reception gown from TEMU.  She said both dresses are unbelievably gorgeous and just need some minor alterations.

@monicakm.  No, absolutely not and never will.  I'm not inclined to give my personal information including financial history to the Chinese government.

We've had several good discussions about it here which you can access by entering the name into "Search Forums".

@Kachina624   You are smart.  Look on You Tube there are many horror stories how they get all your information. They also get all your contacts and other information in your phone.   NO THANKS!

@BalletBabe.  That must be why I get spam from them regularly.  Somebody who knows me signed up.

Temu & Shein have been accused of using forced labor. For this reason and others I will not buy from either.

This was discussed previously on the Qforums. Anyone in IT security would advise you that shopping with these companies is a security risk. Once they have your credit card or other private information they can access a lot and will do so.  Because they are owned by the Chinesegovernment you do not have the same protections like you would have shopping here.  I would NEVER shop on Temu. The cheaper prices are not worth it.  Plus morally I cannot support any company that uses forced child labor which they have been accused of doing.

@Kachina624    Think about what people do on their phones.  Pay Bills, Banking, all their contacts, credit cards etc.  They can get it all.  When you see ads for them, Do not click on it. Shame,  but it is the truth.

How is your debit card not connected to a bank account? Where is the money coming from to pay Temu if not one of your bank accounts?
