I also remember reading what you wrote and thinking, her daughter will be ok. I'm SO glad for her, and you, and your other daughter as well! Continued best wishes! Smiley Happy

Yes, my youngest daughter is the one who was unceremoniously fired because her supervisor was jealous of her talents and was working to get her out . . . and did. She was devastated and embarrassed. Prior to that, her department at a job she had for 16 years was abruptly closed. No warning, everybody out by the end of the week. So this is a huge boost for her.

Thank you for remembering, Marienkaefer2. Smile

Ford Smiley Happy I think if I knew you in real life, I'm probably could be friends with your daughters. We are in the same age group, and from how you write about your family, I can see commonalities. So, I'm really happy for you and I wish them continued good fortune. Many times in life we have to walk through the krap to get to the good part. Smiley Happy

They are 48 and 49, and both of them have certainly had their share of misfortune and negativity in their lives. They put themselves through college, always paid their own way, both got married and divorced. My youngest has no children, my middle gal has two girls, 11 and 14. They are intelligent, talented and hard working women who support themselves and, in fact, supported their husbands as well when they were married.

I agree with you that you would all like each other. You've all had to pay your dues.

Thanks HisElk. I thought yesterday couldn't have been a better day . . . and then more good news today. I'm pretty overwhelmed and very happy.

So sorry to hear you are having a bad day. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Always a delight to hear some uplifting stories. Congratulations to both of your daughters as I am sure they have both worked very hard to have gained these positions. To me this certainly reflects on the manner in which they were raised and the values they were taught that can make the difference in success or failure in many lives.

Congrats to you for a job well done ""Ford1224""
