It's a real smack at Quacker Factory, Jane kinda profiled people who wear that brand. I don't agree. I think it's a fun brand. I like Christmas sweaters too. Jane can sue me.

Just a Halloween parody, much like the teacher dressed in the short plaid Catholic school girl pleated skirt, knee socks, lollipop in hand, two ponytails with ribbons

or the nurse in the super short secsky outfit, etc.

I would not be too insulted.

And, yes, the Kick Me signs were from a long ago time when that - or someone dipping your braids in the inkwell - was the biggest fear one might face in a classroom.

I am appalled by the teachers Halloween costume. Substitutes or guest teachers (new term) are treated like dirt. The students take advantage/give no respect when a sub is there, and the staff thinks they are not that bright. (as them) Subs are important.... some even do a better job then the regular teacher, and some have higher degrees... I wish all teachers subbed for at least 6 months before they get their credential. They need to know what subs go through.

a "Bravo" for substitute teachers-------------personally, I am rarely offended----it's on the offender--they own their remarks-----I have no. expectations

I think guest teachers is an odd term, like they just stopped by to visit.

How about calling them teachers, everybody knows they are not the teacher normally assigned to that classroom but they are still teachers,

teaching.

We had a substitute teacher for last 2 months of school year (due to accident)

and she was the best teacher I ever had.

I thought Jane talks about her late mother being a teacher and that she admires and respects the teaching profession. I'd have to see the video.

No kidding, especially since it was a teacher who dressed that way.

I am out of the loop of being a parent of a student. When my children were school age it never occurred to me to invite any of their teachers to anything. JMO, doing this would put any teacher in an awkward position to accept or decline this invitation.
