I hesitate to buy kitchen gadgets because I never use them much, but I was intrigued by Yonanas and QVC had the best deal on it. You freeze fruit and put it in the machine and it comes out a frozen dessert. The base is bananas, but I've read that some people use mangos instead.

To the bananas, you can stir in anything after processing: chocolate chips, cookie chunks, etc. You can also process frozen strawberries, cherries, etc. when you're doing the bananas.

Today, DD made us rum raisin Yonanas. Two frozen bananas processed, then she stirred in 1 T rum and some raisins. Delicious!

Also, for anyone on Weight Watchers, it's 0 points unless you add in more than fruit.

I was tempted when it was a TSV, but we really don't eat that much ice cream. Maybe some day - Sounds nice.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} The Yonanas site online has a lot of really tempting recipes, if you're interested.

Lynda, I think it's still the same price, $49. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and it was also free shipping.

I haven't had much luck blending fruit. Without a banana I ended up with only icy puree. I also thought it was a pain to clean.

I prefer my Ninja Bullet, Any frozen fruit and a bit of liquid make a frozen dessert. Even skim milk makes an ice cream like dessert.

Saw it at Walmart for $49.
