@RinaRina This is the second time in recent weeks that you've referred to yourself as a hoarder. Months ago you spoke about how much you wanted new windows, and yet recently the installer called that your windows were in. You told them you were cleaning out your house and they couldn't come. That is astounding to me.

I think you should look carefully at your problem and consider making some changes. I hope you've let your window installers come by now.

I donate to Goodwill all the time. 99.99% of the time I don't miss anything I've given away. Except 20 years ago I donated a pair of Dr Martens oxfords they still sell for $120 today. They were in great shape. What was I thinking

From my experience, those clothes made then ,were of much better quality.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

Yeah, my house was cluttered. I moved everything out of the way so that they could do their work.
And, yes, my windows were installed and they're gorgeous. I LOVE THEM.

I know the feeling. When I was working, I had a number of Pendleton skirts and suits. Some time later, I realized that I would never wear them again, so I donated them. Broke my heart, but hopefully they were put to good use by someone.

Yes, and I am like you! It makes me sad to see them hanging there and so I have given many, many (lawn & leaf) bags full of expensive clothing away. I quit buying the ultraexpensive when I quit work a 8 years ago but I still buy good clothes. I love wash 'n wear like linens and cottons, good knits, silks and some polys but I cannot afford wash 'n tear.

@goldensrbest SO TRUE! I have kept so many classic pieces that I rarely wear because I know they are still fashionable and made so beautifully. I have some Louis Dell 'Olio sweaters that have SILK in them! Those were some of his original pieces sold on QVC and still look gorgeous and are timeless. I have some Italian knits that were sold on QVC several decades ago... again, gorgeous, still in fashion, and I get compliments often when I wear them. I have given away many pieces, but have kept a lot, primarily because of their quality and beauty.
