My lap top is being repaired and needs a new keyboard.  In the meantime I have to use my IPad and I HATE it.  I can't adjust to it and it's adding sooooo much frustration which I don't need right now.  It's making me cry Smiley Sad

@rms1954

What an inconvenience.  I know.  I don't like to have to resort to my phone for internet service.

Pray for those people in Texas without water, power, heat.

@rms1954 - I'm glad @Mindy D offered you help. I am an Android girl who was given an iPad last year. I ignored it for months, then after we went into quarantine,  decided to try it. Now I can't be without it!

I'm still learning to use it. I can't copy web pictures, and I can't use Word, but I do almost everything else. It's great for Zoom meetings!  Smiley Happy

@beach-mom,  It's possible to highlight and copy images on the internet with an iPad and then paste them here in a post.  I do that often...  but it can be glitchy and the copy and paste might not work well.

Instead, you always have the option to save the image to the iPad and then upload it here, just the same as with a computer.

Just touch and hold on the image, then a pop-up will appear and you should see something like "Add to photos" or "Save Image."

Choose that, and the image will be added to your iPad Photos app.

Then, in the Q Community dialogue box, tap the "Insert/Edit image" picture icon and follow these steps:

1 -- "Choose File" asks for the location where you saved/stored your picture on your device.

2 -- After you tapped "Choose File," the system will display locations where you might find images.  You should see them displayed in the "Photo Library."

3 -- Tap to select the image you want, and tap the word "Done."

4 -- You'll see some options for things like title, size, etc., but you don't have to make changes unless you want.  Tap "Insert Image."

I hope that helps!  If you have questions, just ask.

It seems like a lot of steps, but after doing it a few times it becomes second nature.😊

Oh, I'm so sorry you're upset, @rms1954.   I want to add my offer to @Mindy D 's to help if I can.

I really, really do like my iPad.   I even tend to favor it over my computer.  I had an iPhone years ago before my first iPad, so I learned how to use the phone 'way back then -- and then it was a fairly easy transition to the iPad.

It usually works best to narrow down the focus to individual problems and we can tackle them one-by-one.   Also, as time goes by you might want to make a point of using the iPad more often so you can gradually grow accustomed to the way it works.  I think of these devices as interesting and useful tools, and just like any other tool or instrument getting to know them can be frustrating but also rewarding.

Please give a shout if you want any assistance.   In the meantime, gentle (((hugs))) and please remember that I care.❤️

You're welcome, @beach-mom!😊   We help each other here...  that's one of the things that keeps me returning to the forums, and a reminder of the reason it's called "community."  Take care.❤️

'Sorry for your frustration but....I can't live without my IPad. They're the easiest to navigate. And you can call they're support. Oh have you updated your iPad? Go to settings and update it.

you should call Apple...

they are extremely helpful and no cost to you.
maybe that's your problem.

My best to you and once u get going you'll never go back.
