GTK @Lakelife62 . I probably wouldn't have tried to dry it even if the directions said you could. I'll look at the Tumble offerings too. We live in the country but if we didn't I would have already ordered one for the entry. Country+big dogs+rain/mud, make it a no-no for the entry. DH keeps us supplied with runners he makes from carpet leftovers, for the entry and backdoor.

I have 2 Ruggable runners, back hall and kitchen. Very high traffic areas! So easy to care for, I did notice one started to curl in a corner after numerous washings. My husband investigated and cut a quarter inch off an end of the pad. Lays flat again!

Costco recently started carrying a very limited selection of Ruggables. Online only (I think).

@monicakm - I first heard about Ruggables in my Facebook feed. I've wondered about them. Glad you started this thread.

I didn't realize I was supposed to have gotten a pad with my Ruggable. My husband and I were looking at the website tonight and he pointed out the pad. I am 90% sure there was no pad/backing in the Box but he's going to check the trash tomorrow.

I've only had mine less than a week and didn't get the backing that comes with it but so far I love it. I don't remember where I saw it. I don't do Facebook so I know it wasn't there.

fyi the pad is an extra cost, at least when I got mine.

@monicakm that is all we have in our house...from bath rugs to 9 x12 rugs. Wouldn't have anything else. They wash well. Wear well. They now offer up different thickness of their pads which makes a big difference.
Not inexpensive but we have had some now for over 6 years.

Funny you should ask! I've been going around, and around, and around, driving myself crazy trying to find a large area rug for my living room that is durable, will stand up to two big German Shepards, low pile and easy maintenance, and won't break the bank. I've looked at Ruggables, Revival, Amazon, Home Goods, Macy's, Crate & Barrel and any number of online retailers. I thought i wanted a Ruggable, so I ordered a 2 x 3 rug for my entryway to see what they were like. Am I glad I didn't pull the trigger on a 10 x 14! This "rug" was paper thin, no thicker than say, a pillow cover, and looked like the pattern was stamped on it. It wasn't inexpensive either ($139)! I was NOT impressed.
The reviews are 50-50. It seems you either love or hate them. I'm not going to order one. They just don't seem like they'll meet my needs. So I'm back to looking at traditional rugs. At this rate, I don't think a rug exists that I'll be satisfied with, so I'm off to West Elm to look at their rugs. More than what I want to spend, but if I find one that really works for me and I love it, I'll buy it.
