Since there was the thread about the wonderful Dolly Parton I thought I would add this.

If you chose to donate for Hurricane relief or any other charity please research them.   There are sites that rate the charities and show how your donations are used.

Please steer clear of Go Fund Me unless they designate how and where the money will be spent.  Who know's they could take money from the top as operating costs or something.

I'm not oppesed to Go Fund Me.  In fact I've donated, but I knew the people involvefd and where my money woul;d go.

I use a website called Charity Navigator to assess a charity before donating.

I use that, too.  I wasn't sure if I could post the site on here.  Thanks for doing that.

I recommend donating to World Central Kitchen. They have an excellent reputation, but don't take my word for it, Google them .

It's just an actual link that is not allowed, @scruffsmom.

It's okay to say the name of a site like Amazon.

@scruffsmom I also use Charity Navigator. Posting the name of a site is fine, just no live links.

I'm not techie at all, @Love my grandkids.  Does a live link just mean one you can click on?

@tansy - Yes, a live link means one you can click on.
