Re: Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

My DH has warned me not to buy from TEMU, so I wont, not looking for any troubles.

@qualitygal, I think if you do a forum search you'll find a few past threads discussing the site.

Personally, I don't want to do business with a site that knowingly can access and mine for information on my devices.

@qualitygal.  Wouldn't touch Temu with a 10ft pole.  Not only is the merchandise garbage but you run a risk when you give your personal info to the Chinese government.  You have no protection since they don't fall under US regulations.

I ordered three tank-type tops from part of Amazon called "Kim Gravel-like". (Well but these were tank tops but this was where I started the process) out of curiosity.

If I remember correctly, the Amazon site appeared on a google search because I remembered that once or twice I found Q brands listed there..

Thr final verdict for me about these was that the fabric and fit wasn't all I thought it would be.

Yes, once and I was scammed.  I never got the item.  When I called they said they had no record of my purchase.

I have read you have to be careful with Temu and Shein.  Google them before you make a purchase.  I won't buy from them no matter how good the prices are.

Temu, Shein, Tik Tok .... there are several sites I won't go near.   Too many warnings about getting their cookies on our devices!

People don't seem to care, though.

Re: Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

Another "Never have, never will" here!  Why would I when there are too many reputable places out there to shop.

There are different kinds of shoppers.  My mom was a "cheapest" kind and often wound up buying several cheap things that she wasn't satisfied with.

I go for quality, service, dependable sites, and try very hard to buy less, but better.  And support good companies, in places not China.

Re: Has anyone bought anything from Temu?

Been shopping there for over a year now, and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

Clothing sizes run small, so order a size (or two) up - Kitchen and other household gadgets and knick-knacks are comparable to Amazon, but much lower prices.

I'm wearing the Boots I ordered to church on Sunday - I liked them so much, I ordered another pair in a different color.

The key (for me) is to always use Paypal - That way, they don't have access to your bank account, per se.

I'm actually waiting for 2 orders to arrive any day now.

My thought is that if one does any kind of online ordering and/or social media, China probably already has access to your information. Smiley Wink

Hi @qualitygal Woman Happy

I havent bought from Tenu yet, but given all the Tenu pop up ads, their items look sooo inviting. It's taken a lot of personal self-control to avoid my purchasing from them.

Great topic!  I'm going to enjoy reading responses!  Woman Happy
