@OKPrincess Well....I don't think it's arriving tomorrow as I heard on the weather channel it's been stalled in Denver (was 70 there the other day).

Here in Northern Va we're expecting snow .....yepper...yet another "Noreaster" so they say.  Depending on which channel 1 to 3 inches is the most popular guess.

Well as most of you hard working people know in other states here in the Va/DC/Md area if the winds blow or we get one snow flake the entire government shuts down.  Yes!  That's your tax money people.

Myself and all of my friends used to work for the government (DC/Pentagon/Maryland) and way back we never got off due to weather.  These days they get off if the wind is blowing hard.

Not blaming the workers.  Don't know who's to blame just saying to many of you in other parts, try telling your bosses you won't be in because I might be expecting 1 to 3 inches ....just maybe...in my back yard...

We all know to stay away from the stores and roads because they're so crowded with school kids and adults shopping we can't get anywhere.  Think I'm exaggerating....not at all.

It’s nice being retired and not having to go out in this weather.  I thought we were home free this winter as far as a real snowfall.  I’m also in NOVA.  Also wanted to say how much I enjoy your posts Annabelthecat.  By the way my first grade teacher was

Sister Annabel.

Central West MI here. We are cold (about 37 degrees), partly sunny, but more important is that NO snow! I will be thankful for small favors today!

The date is right but the weather isn't.  I'm listening to the news in NYC and they are going on about this Noreaster that's rolling through tonight after midnight until Thursday morning 8am???

I know something is coming because it is very cold out.

@Luvtuna I got that name from one of my cats I loved so much.  One day some mail came addressed to "Annabellethecat".

My family has always been very catholic.  My brother and sisters went to Catholic school as did my mother and so on.  I was raised by my Dad and I never went to Catholic school.  It's interesting.  Some hated it and some loved it.

My daughter decided to send my youngest grandson to Catholic school this year (kindergarden).  She is always commenting on the difference between Catholic school and public school.

I don't know how reliable her ideas are because her three other children are in advanced gifted schools run by the County.  In other words it's not like they just go to regular public school.

Especially with all of the shootings, etc going on, it's interesting to hear her talk about the differences.  Totally off subject but I'm so guilty of that....I apologize, I guess it's all on my mind.

I'm looking out the window into the woods and the ground is white but the blades of grass are still sticking through...

I always think about the little animals.  It doesn't seem to bother the squirrels.  They're still on my back porch like little vacuum cleaners sucking up all of my bird seed!  Ugh!

My friend gave me a coffee cup that has the cutest squirrel on it that says, "Excuse me!  Your bird feeder is almost out of seed".  Ha!

She has to listen to me complain 24/7 about the squirrels chasing away the birds!

@LyndaGee Hello!  Thank you for the smile....I haven't seen you posting much.  Maybe we just post in different areas.

I always notice your posts because throughout High School I had a very good friend who spelled her name Lynda like you do.  My name is Linda.

The last 2 snowstorms we got in NYC was not a lot. It all went away within a day. Still, I'm waiting for warmer temps. I heard that Spring took a wrong turn and is RECALCULATING...then there was traffic and a road closure - RECALCULATING...then rerouting bc of the St Patrick's Day Parade down 5th Ave. Spring then went to a pub for a pint. Alcohol levels was too high - so sleeping it off and will travel soon.

@Annabellethecat66    I so agree with you!  We need spring and warm weather here in New Jersey too!  I live near the beach and love sunny days and hot weather. Hang in there my friend because Spring is on its way, it just had to take a little detour.

I am so happy for You. It's not real cold where I am at , today it's windy , but not 60 mile an hour winds at least and the air coming in the house smells good. And no crazy snow like Washington and Pennsylvania, so I am happy for what we don't have going on. Just be patient it's saving me mowing fee's for the lawn at least right now. BE PATIENT !!! We have to take what is given to us .

You can come visit Austin. It was 81 degrees yesterday and will be 77 tomorrow. We definitely have spring.

But we also have a serial bomber, so there's that.

Annebelle if you find spring down south of me (Delaware) please ship it north to me. I swear this is the longest winter in history. It just will not end. Last word I heard was this cold and wet could go onto May-June. Something about that North atlantic oscillation is really so very strong and High pressure over Greenland  just will not move or break down.

Hope this will be the last winter snow we get.

Memorial Day we may still be in winter coats LOL
