I love the Vermont Country Store and order from them often, you can sometimes get promo codes if you look on line for them. I have also been to their store and it's fabulous, a real adventure.

There are always wonderful things in the catalogues that you just CANNOT GET anywhere else!

I haven't but I did receive a boxed set of the first eight Nancy Drew books. They obviously aren't first editions but they are copies of the first editions. It was very eye opening to read them. By the time I read them as a young girl they had been edited. I cherish them as they were a gift from my Mom.

Remember those tiny square envelopes containing teeny-tiny squares of licorice flavored breath fresheners? Called 'Sen-Sen' or 'Sen-Sens'. I often recall that my mom's handbags and pockets always had that Sen-Sen aroma.... Anyway, I'll bet that they are available at VCS. I'll go over there and check-out all of their other items. Thanks, O/P.

I have, but not in a few years. I liked their shortbread cookies - I think one was maple and one was toffee - both good with a cup of coffee. I liked the toffee better I think.
My Mom also got a few things from there occasionally too. She always said that they had good customer service if there was any problem whatsoever ( at that time anyhow).
Hmmm, I actually forgot about those cookies... yummy...

VCS if the only place where I can find LANZ nightgowns and I usually wait for free shipping to buy again. They wear well and last forever.

@Moonchilde wrote:I have ordered more from them in the past than I would now. The types of things I order, they are very overpriced, not just a little, and there is rarely if ever any kind of real price break, s&h or otherwise, for me.
In my own experience with them, they have not been the greatest customer service-wise either, in terms of communication.
The fact that what I would order never goes on sale, they're overpriced to start with, and the s&h means I'm "over" Vermont Country Store. I used to buy at least 2-3 times a year but no more. I've found alternatives.
Their quality is good in most instances, but that's not enough to keep me from feeling ripped off.
I second what she said plus they charfe an arm and a leg to return something.

Yes, last Christmas I purchased three nightgowns as gifts for a daughter-in law and two granddaughters. I love the Lanz flannel nightgowns.
They are really beautiful and great qualilty. I also ordered one for myself in a beautiful red color. They work out so nicely on colder, winter nights.
I ordered when they offered free shipping on orders of $100+
I also purchased a thick, cotton shower curtain for a summer home. We have liked it a lot.
I enjoy their catalogues and plan to order more this summer--
probably summer weight nightgowns and maybe some candies.
The candies drive me crazy in the catalogues. I hope I don't overdo it.
