In this sad time of Covid, a halftime show should be uplifting & hopeful for viewers. The show I saw was neither....The audio & sound were so bad & for me it was the worst I have watched. Happy for Brady...Way to go!

For once it was nice to see a half time show without a thousand teenage kids jumping up and down by the stage but I didn't know who the Weekend was. I also wondered why they were wearing jock straps over their faces. I only watched about 5 minutes of the show. I thought it was stupid.  I saw the direction the game was going in so I watched Rosanne instead.

I tried to watch it but I couldn't understand the words he was singing so I put closed captions on but the words that showed on the screen weren't making any cohesive sense so I gave up and changed the channel.

I'm not a football person.  I watched "Titanic" on another channel last night.

BTW, what's a Weeknd?  Lordy, I must be getting old!

Man plans. God laughs.

@SANNA  I'm a die hard old time country music fan and will be the first to admit I didn't have a clue who he was.  But love or hate the performance he spent his own money to make a show he thought his fans would enjoy.  I know I'm getting old because I couldn't understand a word he sang, and I found the total face masks weird, but it must of been a huge undertaking to arrange the dance numbers.

I like football, but I can't stand Brady, just the way I feel. Anyway I could see how the game was going, and I went to a different room to read. I missed halftime, and though I like The Weekend, these shows are always a disappointment. I sometimes wonder why they bother. I did enjoy Bruno Mars, but that's the only one.

@QVCkitty1   Your first line.......couldn't agree w/you more.  I watched the first half and that was enough.  I switched over to PBS to watch the end of Miss Scarlet and the Duke and then All Creatures Great and Small.  I haven't watched a halftime show in a long time.

First ..,My husband and I both like The Weekends music and he is definitely talented.

We thought it was awful...sound, theme, presentation...all was off and far from what should have been uplifting in such a down year.

I LOVE the Weeknd's music but I don't think it translated well to a live show.  Maybe his actual concerts are better.  Even though I'm familiar with his music and top hits, there were times I had trouble recognizing them in his SB performance.

The last Super Bowl halftime show I liked was with Shania Twain and that was back in 2003. Last night's had nothing in it for me. Even previous year's bad shows at least had cute girls dancing around, but last night was all guy's wearing jock straps on their heads and just did nothing for me.
