Were we supposed to think he was singing that? 

I thought this was the worst half-time show I have ever seen. 

He supposedly put $7m of his own money into this.  He got ripped off.

 I had no idea who he was!  Guess I am out of the loop!  I tuned in but tuned out pretty quickly!

I have never heard of this guy/group. After I saw all the bad reviews of the show I had to look him up. He's a great singer. I feel bad for him. He spent 7 million of his own money and is getting trashed. Hard not to sympathize with him.

I love The Weekend.  Some parts of his performance with the dancers were funny.  Plus all the dancers in the field were n sync.  No, it wasn't the best halftime show but I still enjoyed it and I like how the fireworks were in time with the music.

I know the performer was "Weeknd" but I wasn't impressed either.  At least, it wasn't a rapper where you can't understand a word they are saying.

Interesting you say that.  I turned on the closed captions to get the words of his songs and they'd get maybe part of a line and then nothing and then maybe a word and then nothing.  This was on FIOS.  So I guess it wasn't just unintelligible to me.

My husband changed the channel because  all the commentators could talk about was Brady- only saw a hint of the halftime show- will keep that opinion to myself as the opening  stuff.

If anything, bring back the funny commercials..

Boy, am I ever glad that I knew nothing about the Weekend's music before hearing his performance on Sunday night.

I'd read his name multiple times in the gossip columns but never, knowingly, heard his music.

In the minority, I thought he sang wonderfully and melodically.  I thought to myself that I've been missing out on a great voice. 

The Washington Post trashed his performance today, but I do not care.  I very much enjoyed his half-time show.  Not having heard him at his optimal level, I was impressed by him and his music at what his diehard fans perceived as not his best effort.

Loved his outfit and, in particular, the shoes!

Why am I so often alone in my likes and dislikes?
