I think the things they are wearing look like mens' underwear. I'm glad they are being safe, even if it looks a bit odd.

I ASSUME it was a reference to his video from the same song, in which he is in a fight and is all bloody. The Weeknd often played at awards shows with bandages on his face. It just also was a way to wear masks in an unusual way.

I like The Weeknd (he WAS robbed at the Grammy nominations), but I thought the sound was off a little.  I did recognize all the songs and, in my opinion, it was a successful show. Have certainly seen worse!!  I liked it.

edited to confess - Blinded by the Light was my JAM this summer and would always pump up the volume when it came on!  Love that song!!

Jock straps on their heads?  Now I'm sorry to have missed the Half Time Show.

I know the performer was "Weeknd" but I wasn't impressed either.  At least, it wasn't a rapper where you can't understand a word they are saying.

I like The Weeknd's songs but I thought he was not a good fit for a halftime show. To me he's more about singing with a lot of talent but I wouldn't consider him a 'showman'.

Is this the Candian guy, the high school dropout who became famous overnight, proving lack of education is a winner in today's society, instead of a loser as it would have been 20 years ago.

I like football, but I can't stand Brady, just the way I feel. Anyway I could see how the game was going, and I went to a different room to read. I missed halftime, and though I like The Weekend, these shows are always a disappointment. I sometimes wonder why they bother. I did enjoy Bruno Mars, but that's the only one.
